NetPosse.com Alert - Missing and PRESUMED Stolen - Alabama - Two male mules - Cruising Cochise, bay appaloosa, and Maxamillion, Sorrel Gaited, were confirmed in their pasture the morning of 1/15/15 in Cullman County. Last seen in a cow pasture about 1.5 miles from home on 1/16/15. There is a suspect. These mules are shown, trail ridden and loved by two teenage girls. Please help bring them home!

“The American 160”: Wild Burros Find New Homes for the New Year

It’s a new year, and more than 160 burros that once roamed the rangelands of the Wild West have found new homes. Rango is one of those fortunate burros, a four-year-old gelding that could have been shipped to Guatemala as part of a U.S. Bureau of Land Management plan to move unadopted burros out of long-term holding pens.

Photos show BLM creativity in justifying removal of wild horses

BLM often says horses are in poor condition necessitating removals. Not so here. Horses in these pictures look good. Terrain looks good. I guess that is the reason why the BLM suggested that the Rock Creek Grazing Association sue them to initiate the removals that otherwise would not have happened.

As wild horses lose their rights to the land, so will others. Who wants to hike through a trail of cattle poo with oil and gas rigs in the background. Perhaps only Sally Jewell.

Wait a few years after cattle and other livestock use increases and see if the pictures will look the same.

Dear Lisa, Yesterday, we told you the bad news that the Tenth Circuit Court of Appeals denied our motion for an injunction to block the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) from rounding up more than 800 wild horses in Wyoming. Although we will continue to pursue the case on its strong merits, the roundup will begin in the next few days. As the helicopters descend on the beautiful horses of Adobe Town, Salt Wells Creek and Divide Basin, please help us launch a massive grassroots uprising.  Here's what we need you to do. 1. Call Secretary Jewel at 202-208-7351  Here is a sample of what you can say: "I oppose the massive wild horse roundup about to take place in Wyoming. The BLM did not provide any opportunity for the public to participate in the decision. Nearly 1,000 wild horses will lose their freedom to appease ranchers who graze their livestock on our public lands. The American public opposes this roundup. Please stop the Wyoming wild horse wipeout. Our public lands belong to all Americans." 2. Tweet: @SecretaryJewell Public lands 4 all Americans: Stop WY wild horse wipeout. #justice4mustangs 3.
